Our Worship Matters, Because God's Glory Matters

Ministry leaders, pastors, worship teams, and production teams: Don’t miss out on the opportunity to serve well AND experience corporate worship at your Sunday church gatherings. Even in the midst of the extra work that goes into ministry for a Sunday, be a worship leader in whatever role you are filling for the day. From greeting guests at the door to setting up chairs in overflow rooms, worship with everything that you have in you!

One of my favorite worship leader quotes says this, “A faithful worship leader magnifies the greatness of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit by skillfully combining God’s Word with music, thereby motivating the gathered church to proclaim the gospel, to cherish God’s presence, and to live for God’s glory.” -Bob Kauflin, Worship Matters.

ACTION POINTS:

  1. Today (every Sunday) is not just another Sunday- prepare well

  2. Tune your heart, not just your guitar- get in God's word!

  3. Let your private worship fuel your corporate response to God

  4. Jesus serves as our High Priest-Boldly come before God, even in your weakness to worship and seek Him knowing that He cares for you in the midst of where you are today

  5. Lead yourself to the feet of Jesus if you want to lead others

Hebrews 4:14-16 (ESV)

“Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Jesus has interceded on your behalf! Be convicted of your sin, but you should not be chained by it anymore!

Come on team, let's do this! Let's go after God and His people with boldness.
